Drug overdoses are up. A lot.

The New York Times reports that for the year ending September 2020, drug overdoses in the U.S. rose to a staggering 87,000. That’s almost 25% higher than the calendar year 2019, yet it only includes half of the pandemic (so far). Clearly the uncertainty, isolation, and trauma of this time has taken its toll.

On an average day, 244 Americans die from drug overdose. That’s why we’re reaching out to those who struggle with addiction– every day.
