Online Bible Study Begins!

It’s a strange, new world. Public gatherings aren’t happening. Schools, churches, and Twelve Step meetings are going online. And its time for our ministry to go online, too.

I have to say, I don’t know much about this. I’ve taken an online class. I’ve used Skype. I use Facebook and email. But I’d never used Google Hangouts before last week. So this is all new for me.

Despite the technical challenges, we’re going to try to start our online meetings tonight with our (formerly) regularly-scheduled Bible Study on the Twelve Steps. If it works, we’ll meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. For more information, click here.

I begin this journey with skepticism. This may sound strange, especially coming from a stoic old Yankee, but I get a lot from being in someone’s physical presence. I can feel their energy, and at times sense things about them. I haven’t yet had that happen online. I hope this won’t mean a lesser experience for all.

But it’s what we have, so it’s what we’ll do.

I invite you to join us. If you’re in recovery from addiction, trauma, depression, grief, or something else… if you need healing… if you want to walk with others who will accept you where you are, and have been where you are… walk with us.

And if you need someone to talk to between meetings, call, email, or message us.
