Of course, we shouldn’t leave to television the task of helping and healing children. Addiction leaves permanent marks– often including abuse, abandonment, and lack of security. As we seek healing for ourselves and others who struggle with addiction, we should also be conscious of the needs of affected children.
Often professional help is appropriate. One of our goals at Healing Refuge is to create a network of providers, including those who work with children.
